Kennedy Contemporary is proud to announce their participation in the 2023 Laguna College of Art & Design mentorship program with the talented BFA student, Piper Bangs. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Piper is an accomplished painter with an impressive record of solo exhibitions, including The Watermill Center in Watermill, NY, and Estia’s Little Kitchen in Sag Harbor, NY, in collaboration with The Watermill Center.
Piper's exceptional talent has been recognized with numerous awards, including an honorable mention in the AXA Art Prize and a merit award from the National YoungArts Foundation. Her work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as the National YoungArts Foundation in Miami, FL, the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in South Korea, the US Department of Education in Washington, D.C., the Pratt Manhattan Gallery in New York City, NY, Axis Gallery in Sacramento, CA, and The Contemporary at Blue Star in San Antonio, TX, among others.
Kennedy Contemporary is excited to showcase Piper's stunning ethereal floral pieces from April 12-16, culminating in an Artist Reception on April 16th from 11-3. The event will provide art lovers and collectors an opportunity to meet Piper and gain insight into her creative process.
