Based in Del-Mar, California, Joli Beal is a plein-air artist that has been participating in plein air invitationals and winning awards for over two decades. A graduate of UC Irvine, Beal continued her education by attending the San Diego Design Institute and subsequently became an ASID member. Throughout the years she has worked professionally as an interior designer, while refining and exhibiting her fine art practice. Completed typically within the span of three to four hours, her paintings capture scenes from travels in her signature loose brush strokes and impressionist palette.

Beal can often be found on the rocky cliffs by the sea, deep in the backcountry of the Sierra Nevada Range, or painting by the beach in Hawaii. Over the years she has studied under many prominent artists including Sebastian Capella, Neil Boyle, Peggy Kroll Roberts, among others.
