"The curve raised a whole new set of questions and ideas I wanted to investigate. The work shifted from being about structure and form to being about content and emotion. In a way, it humanized the geometric  by turning shape into form, form into volume and volume into emotion."

Senem Oezdogan is a Brooklyn-based painter whose practice includes painting, drawing, and fiber art. Her work focuses on the visual phenomenon of optical illusion through color, form and contrast. Senem received her M.A. from the University of Munich and is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York). Her work has been exhibited internationally and resides in private collections around the globe.
