We were so thrilled to partner with Arguax, a female-owned local wine shop. To celebrate the end of summer, they curated a wine pairing for three of our artists' works. Interested in art and wine? Read on to discover the perfect pairings, hand-selected by co-founder and sommelier, Arden Gilfillan!
For the encaustic works of Amy Van Winkle, Arden selected the 2020 Bodega Chacra "Mainque" Chardonnay (this has since SOLD OUT but try their "Sin Azufre" Pinot Noir!). Sealed with a beeswax cap, this wine is layered and light - a delight to sip!
As bronze works of Copper Tritscheller require months of laborious production, Arden selected the NV Champagne Delavenne Pere & Fils Brut Rose Grand Cru. Created by combining Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, this wine was meticulously supervised for the duration of its process. The juicy and mineral finish are the perfect compliment to Copper's playful and enduring bronze sculptures.
The 2018 Chateau Climens Asphodele Bordeaux Blanc is a true partner to the works of Michael Kessler, as both artist and winemaker are focused on creating natural works of art that evoke the sense of "terroir."
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first event. Our second art & wine series with Argaux will take place on September 30th. Please contact the gallery to RSVP and reserve your spot as space is limited!
